And in the books of monotheism as well, prayer is the Commander of the Faithful (Amir al-Mu'minin), and the reading (al-Qira'ah) within it is the acknowledgement (al-Iqrar) of his Oneness (Wahdaniyyah).

And among what indicates, confirms, and proves that the person of prayer is the prayer, and that the remembrance of God is the Meaning (al-Ma'na) and prayer is the Name (al-Ism)—and it is also the Commander of the Faithful—and that it is not the movements of the physical limbs and the formal images which are for instruction and discipline only, not for belief as the Nawasib and others among the people of disbelief and misguidance claim.

And among what demonstrates, supports, and confirms this is the arrangement of its five exoteric times in correspondence with the arrangement of its five esoteric persons, without increase or decrease. Meaning, the times do not exceed five, just as the manifestation of the Name does not exceed five persons. Nor did the arrangement of any of the names of the five persons differ from the arrangement of any of the five times. Meaning, the succession of the arrangement of its persons is in correspondence with the succession of the arrangement of its times, without delay or advancement in the numbers of its obligations and their succession, and the numbers of the letters of its persons and their succession.
