"O God, guide us to the Straight Path—the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have incurred wrath (al-Maghdub 'Alayhim) by their punishment through the establishment of those shackles and fetters (al-Asar wa al-Aghlal), nor of those who are astray (al-Dallin) from the essence of religious realities and pleasing deeds... Amen."

He said: And therefore the Magnification (Takbir) was established in the Call to Prayer (Adhan) four times; for it is an alerting of the creation to the previous response in the first call.

And how excellent is the Great Master Abu al-Husayn Muhammad bin Ali al-Jali, who alerted us to the meaning of that by what he established in his treatise titled Batin al-Salah (The Esoteric of Prayer), saying: "Bowing (al-Ruku') is the humility of the Gate (al-Bab) to the Veil (al-Hijab) to bring it to the Meaning of Meanings at the start of the matter, and as an adjustment to what we are in within this cycle (Kur) and era (Dawr) of ours. It is also said to be his partnership (Shirk) with the [letter] Meem upon his manifestation through him.
