Sheikh al-Habib also says: "Therefore, I followed his footsteps and treaded his path—meaning his father, the erudite scholar Sheikh 'Id, may God sanctify them both—and I debated in my time those among the brethren whom I debated, by rejecting the religious practice and belief in the exoteric limits (Zawahir al-Hudud) in seclusions, while maintaining the obligation of establishing them among the adversaries (al-Addad), due to my confidence that this is the statement of the people of truth and affirmation1."
Thus, we understand from the words of the erudite Sheikh Habib Eid al-Salih that despite his preoccupation with the book (Al-Jawharah al-Diniyyah)2.. he authored this voluminous book. And so al-Habib excelled, benefited [others], bound [them with] proofs, and clarified the methodology for whoever desires the radiant truth and the correct path.
And I praise God who granted me success to meticulously review the books of the erudite, monotheist, and reverend jurist, Sheikh "Habib 'Abd al-Salih," may God sanctify his spirit and the spirits of his forefathers...
And we ask God Almighty not to let us deviate from the path of al-Habib, his way, and his jurisprudence.
