Humran said: I then asked: "O my Master, when the description of the Master Muhammad—may His Might be exalted—is absent from sight, where does it reside?"
He replied: "It connects to its Mine (Ma'din), returns to its Element ('Unsur), and vanishes into its Source (Yanbu'). Have you not heard the words of the Almighty: {'He found it setting in a murky spring'?}1 In the literal sense (Zahir), it refers to the sun, but in the esoteric sense (Batin), it means the Name vanished into the Light of Allah’s Essence. It is the 'Spring' (al-'Ayn) that protects it from [temporal] being and limitation. That is [the meaning of] His word: {'Indeed, He who imposed upon you the Qur'an will surely take you back to a place of return.'} 2 Meaning: unto that from which You were manifested, from which You were revealed, to which is Your return, and unto which You shall go back."
shattered (Hashama) falsehood and rejoiced (Hasha) toward the Truth.
