It did not cease [carrying] us until it set us down in the house of our Master, the Commander of the Faithful—may His Might be exalted—in the very place from which it had raised us. We had departed from the house at the time of the sun's decline (Zawal), and we returned between the two prayers; thus, we witnessed the Great Power of Ali.
[197] The trustworthy Sheikh Abu al-Husayn Muhammad ibn ‘Ali al-Jilli—may Allah be pleased with him—narrated to me, saying: My teacher Abu ‘Abdullah al-Husayn ibn Hamdan al-Khusaybi—may Allah sanctify his soul—narrated to me from Dawud ibn Hamdan, who said:
I visited our Master, the Commander of the Faithful—may His Might be exalted—accompanied by fifteen of [my] youths. I had with me ten thousand dirhams which I had brought out for the poor among the believers while I was on the pilgrimage (Ziyarah).
Suddenly, [I saw] a man wearing a woollen cloak (Jubba), upon the shoulders of which was written: "It is neither to be sold nor bought."
