Jabir said: I struck it with the staff, and behold, it opened upon a world like this world of ours seventy times over. My Master entered and commanded us to enter it, so we entered. We looked upon peoples where the height of a man among them was the length of a forearm bone, and his beard was likewise. Among them were those whose height was like a towering palm tree, and they were glorifying Allah and sanctifying Him in various languages. We marveled at that; then my Master exited, and we exited behind Him, and the Barrier closed shut.

Then our Master said to us: "Do you wish for Me to show you the drink of these people?" We said: "If You see fit, O our Master." He brought us to a halt at a mountain pass, and behold, there emerged from it a black water [as thin] as the eye of a needle. We marveled at that. Then our Master—may His Might be exalted—said: "With this, I destroyed the past generations, and it is stored away for [certain] peoples." Then our Master commanded us to mount the cloud and we mounted it.
