I, Salman, Hudhayfa ibn al-Yamani, and Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah ibn Hizam al-Ansari were in the presence of our Master, the Commander of the Faithful (Amir al-Mu'minin)—may His Might be exalted—at His house in Medina. Suddenly, al-Hassan and al-Husayn sprang toward Him and said:

"O our Master! Indeed, Allah—Blessed and Exalted be He—gave Solomon a great kingdom, and we would love for You to show us Gog and Magog (Ya’juj wa Ma’juj)."

Jabir (peace be upon him) said: I saw our Master—may His Might be exalted—stand in the center of the house and stretch out His hand. I saw it lengthening until it disappeared from our sight. Then He drew it back, and behold, He was pulling a white cloud, followed by a yellow cloud. Our Master—may His Might be exalted—commanded us to mount the cloud, so we mounted.

And our Master established Himself upon the other [cloud], and He commanded the cloud to ascend with us, so it ascended. Our Master continued to converse with us while we knew not where in the world we were. Then our Master commanded the cloud to descend, and it descended.
