Abu Salit did so and returned with it to Khorasan, possessing clear insight into his religion and the soundness of certainty, by the permission and success granted by Allah.
[195] The trustworthy Sheikh Abu al-Husayn Muhammad ibn ‘Ali al-Jilli narrated to me, saying: al-Khusaybi narrated to me, saying: My father Ahmad ibn al-Khasib—may Allah be pleased with him—narrated to me, from Yahya ibn Ma’in, from Muhammad ibn al-Mufaddal, from Furat ibn Ahnaf, from Sa’id ibn al-Musayyib, from ‘Ammar ibn Yasir (peace be upon them), who said:
I was with my Master in Basra one day when my Master—may His Might be exalted—said to me: "O ‘Ammar!" I replied: "At your service." He said: "Don your armor, mount your steed, and come to me in haste." ‘Ammar said: I did as my Master commanded me. When I came to Him, my Master—may His Might be exalted—mounted the mule and said: "Proceed, O Abu al-Yaqdhan." ‘Ammar said: My Master traveled, and I traveled behind Him, following Him until we were about five leagues (Farsakhs) away from Basra.
