To Me belong the Most Beautiful Names, the Supreme Example, the Greater Lordship (al-Rububiyya al-Kubra), and the Grandest Divinity (al-Uluhiyya al-'Uzma). Every possessor of a spirit speaks by My command. Not a leaf falls, nor is there anything moist or dry, except by My knowledge. There is no god other than Me, and no one worshipped besides Me.
O Ghaliba! He has lied who likens Me to anything, or likens things to Me, or claims that sights can perceive Me, or that imaginations can glimpse Me, or that things can precede Me.
And how can He be perceived who has no end? Whose 'how-ness' (Kayfufiyya), 'what-ness' (Mahiyya), 'entity-ness' (Kaniyya), or 'quantity-ness' (Kammiyya) cannot be known? So Glory be to Him who is thus—not as He is described by the atheists regarding His Names, the falsifiers regarding His Oneness, the likeners regarding His Lordship, or the polytheists regarding His Divinity.
O Ghaliba, this is My Description; 'and We have given you from Our presence a Remembrance.
