When news of this reached Al-Mutawakkil, he said: 'We know not what to make of the wonders of Abu al-Hasan ‘Ali ibn Muhammad al-Hijazi [Al-Hadi] or the wonders of his companion Muhammad ibn Nusayr.'"

[165] ‘Ubaydullah ibn al-Hasan narrated to us, saying: My Sheikh Abu Muhammad al-Hasan, known as Ibn al-Rumiyyah, in the town of Khazzah from the districts of Persia, narrated to me, saying: My Sheikh Al-Khasibi al-Junbulani narrated to me, saying: My Sheikh and my father Abu Muhammad ‘Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Jannan al-Farsi, known as Al-Zahid, narrated to me, saying: My Sheikh Muhammad ibn Jundub, the Orphan of the Time (Yatim al-Waqt) (peace be upon him), narrated to me, saying:

"I was at the door of my Master Al-Hasan al-Askari (Mighty is His Might) when suddenly four individuals approached, riding Arabian horses, their attire being that of the Arabs. When they stood before the door, they dismounted from their horses and offered greetings.
