or a little less or more. When we desired to depart, his fingers would illuminate for each one of us until he reached his home.
Furthermore, his Orphans (Aytam) were drinking at his place one night and wished to leave, but he said to them: 'Wait a while.' When it was midnight—and it was a pitch-black night—he raised his palm, and his five fingers shone like candles. Though their paths were in different directions, his fingers continued to illuminate before them until every single one of them had entered his home."
The Chapter of the Miracle of the Master Muhammad ibn al-Mufaddal (Peace be upon him)
[161] It was narrated from Dawud ibn Kathir al-Raqqi (peace be upon him) that he said: "I saw Abu al-Muttalib Ja’far ibn Muhammad ibn al-Mufaddal had fallen from the upper part of his house, and one of his limbs was broken. When our Master Muhammad ibn al-Mufaddal saw him, he rubbed his hand over the [injured] spot, and it returned to its normal state.
It was narrated through another chain that he had [actually] died, and he [Muhammad] brought him back to life."
