Abu al-Khattab replied: 'We shall take your wealth for what you have taken, and we shall slaughter you for what you have slaughtered.' The goat said: 'You have spoken the truth.'"
[158] And from Muhammad ibn Sadaqah (peace be upon him), who said: "I saw Abu al-Khattab behind the mosque when a doe came and threw herself before him. He moved his lips with words I did not understand, and suddenly a lion leaped until it stood before him.
He said to the lion: 'Bring me such-and-such wolf (dhinb).' It was not long before the lion returned with a wolf in its mouth and cast it before him. Abu al-Khattab said to the wolf: 'Did I not forbid you from approaching the fawns (khashafan) 1 in their pastures?'
Then he said to the lion: 'Take him!' The lion struck the wolf, splitting its belly, and a dead fawn fell out of it. Abu al-Khattab spat upon the fawn, and it leaped up alive. He said to the doe: 'Take it.' She carried it and departed."
