Chapter: The Explicit Text and Indication regarding Abu al-Khattab Muhammad ibn Abi Zaynab al-Kahili.
[132] It was narrated by Abu Sumayyah, from Ibn Sinan, from Ibn Mihran, from Isma’il ibn Sadaqah and Ibn Mihran, from ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Kufi, from Zayd ibn Talhah—all of them from Yunus, from Al-Mufaddal (peace be upon him), from Al-Sadiq, Mighty is His Might, who said:
"Muhammad ibn Abi Zaynab is the repository ('ayba) of our knowledge, the location of our secret, and the one entrusted with our living and our dead. He never departs from guidance, nor does he enter into misguidance."
[133] And from Abu Sakinah, from Mansur, from Al-Dahkani, who said: A man said to Al-Sadiq, Mighty is His Might: "O my Master, our backs have been broken [with grief/confusion] since you cursed Abu al-Khattab!"
He [the Imam] replied:
"{As for the ship, it belonged to poor people working at sea, so I intended to cause a defect in it, for there was after them a king who seized every ship by force}.
