He was among those of whom Allah said: {And We wanted to confer favor upon those who were oppressed in the land and make them leaders and make them inheritors} 1 .
[122] It was narrated from ‘Abdullah ibn al-‘Ala’, from Idris, from Zayd ibn Talhah, from Hisham ibn al-Hakam, from Jabir ibn Yazid al-Ju’fi (peace be upon him), who said:
"Our Master ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn [Zayn al-‘Abidin], Mighty is His Might, appointed Abu Khalid ‘Abdullah ibn Ghalib al-Kabuli as a Link (Wasitah) between himself and Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah.
The woman of the Walibi clan came to ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn, Mighty is His Might, with the pebble, until he imprinted his seal upon it for her. Then Abu Khalid took the sealed pebble to Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah and showed it to him, whereupon [Ibn al-Hanafiyyah] submitted to ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn, Mighty is His Might.
