[9] And Master Christ, may His might be glorified, was asked about a person when he becomes pure, what he becomes. He, may His might be glorified, said:

"No one will become pure who does not know his Creator. So when a servant knows his Creator with true knowledge, he becomes a candle that shines before the Lord."

[10] And Abu Muhammad narrated to us, from Abi Sa'id, who said: Al-Askari, may His might be glorified, said:

"God initiated His creation with ease and left worship, because He already knew they would not be able to bear it. So He did not desire from them anything but knowledge, and that is worship, until they asked Him, and He answered them."
