The Commander of the Faithful, Mighty is His Might, said: "Continue, O Eel; explain what the transformed species of the land and the sea were."
"He [the Eel] said: 'As for the marine species, they are: the Eel (Jirri), the Hadduq, Turtles, the Marmahi (Lamprey/Snake-fish), the Zammār (Piper fish), Crabs, Dolphins, Frogs, Banāt Qurs, the Kharman, the Kawsaj (Shark), and the Crocodile.'
The Commander of the Faithful said: 'Continue; and what of the land species?'
He replied: 'Yes; the Gecko, the Bat, the Dog, the Bear, the Ape, the Pig, the Dabb (Spiny-tailed lizard), the Chameleon, the Monitor Lizard (Waral), Beetles, the Rabbit, and the Hyena.'
The Commander of the Faithful, Mighty is His Might, said: 'And what remains within you of the human form and nature?'
The Eel replied: 'Our mouths, and parts [of the anatomy] for each form and its creation; and all of us menstruate just as females do.'
