transmission to our Master, the Truthful of the Promise (Sadiq al-Wa'd), Mighty is His Might—that he said:

"Never does a group from the People of our Loyalty (Ahl Wilayatina) gather to mention the Oneness of their Creator, the virtue of His Name, His Gate, and the People of His Sacred Ranks, except that the angels descend to surround them and listen to them. The angels become scented by the fragrance of their words, with aromas purer than the most pungent musk.

When they disperse, the angels ascend to the heavens, and the angels of the heavens say to them: 'We have never smelled a scent more pleasant than your scents; where have you been?' They reply: 'We descended to the abode of the [material] world, and there we found a people of the believers discoursing upon the Oneness of Allah; their scents are more pleasant than the most pungent musk, and these aromas are from the sweetness of their words.'

The heavenly angels then say to them: 'We ask you to descend with us so that we may look upon them.' They reply: 'They have already dispersed.' Then the angels say: 'Then descend with us to the Place in which they were gathered.'
