If an incident occurs to a believer, or if there is a primordial physical trait (khilqa azliyya), then it is according to the orbit of the firmament (madar al-falak). And the hair upon his head is like the stars that adorn the Firmament (Al-Falak); thus, if heedlessness enters upon the Firmament, they are veiled. This [the loss or ailment of hair] stems from a heedlessness that entered upon the believer due to a prior neglect of his brother’s right; therefore, it is incumbent upon him to seek forgiveness. Indeed, Allah brought these ailments upon His Saints (Awliya’) only so they might realize they have committed a sin, repent for it, and so that the Proof (Al-Hujjah) may be established for them.

In another interpretation: the Two Eyes—their station is that of the Sun and the Moon. Thus, if one of you looks upon the sanctity (hurmah) of his fellow believer with a deceptive glance, Allah shall strip him of the 'sight of discernment' (nazar al-ikhtibar).

As for the Tongue, if it speaks what the heart [negatively] harbors, Allah shall strike it dumb.
