These are the Arabic Festivals which Allah commanded the servants to know, and that is [the meaning of] His saying: {Three days during Hajj and seven when you have returned; those are ten complete} 1 . The three are the Day of Adha, the Day of Fitr, and the Day of Ghadir."
"And the seven [days]: are the number of the seven days which Allah (Exalted and Sublime) mentioned regarding the Gates (Al-Abwab).
As for the Day of ‘Arafah: it is the day in which the believers recognized one another (ta’arafa), wherein The Meaning (Al-Ma’na) appeared to them in His Exalted Form (Suratihi al-’Alawiyyah). The Day of Tarwiyah: it is the day in which He appeared to them (tara’a), then became hidden from them, then appeared on the Day of ‘Arafah; thus the believers recognized Him, and He informed them of their stations (manazilahum). And the blessing belongs to Allah.
The Four White Days: Hamza, Ja’far, ‘Abdullah, and Al-Harith. And the Great Day: Salsal.
