I said: 'My Master, the knowledge of the Arabic and Non-Arabic festivals has become unclear to me, as well as the days which Allah (Exalted be His Name) mentioned in His Book; so favor me with the gnosis of that?'"

"He said: 'O Muhammad, you have asked regarding a mighty matter, delved into a deep ocean, and ascended to a high and lofty station; so ask Allah for steadfastness in the gnosis of that.' Then he said: 'May Allah make you steadfast with the Firm Word in this world and the Hereafter.'

Then he said: 'O people, listen and obey, and do not say: "When is this promise?" Indeed, Allah (Mighty and Sublime) has made for every Outward (Zahir) an Inward (Batin), and for every Inward an Outward. Allah is present within His creation; the believers recognize Him, while the deniers reject Him. So turn in repentance unto your Lord and submit to Him before the punishment comes upon you, which is the Day of Unveiling (Yawm al-Kashf)—a day when no soul will benefit from its faith if it had not believed before or earned through its faith some good.'
