[91] And The Knower (Al-'Alim), Mighty is His Might, said: "Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, does not decree a matter for a servant who then accepts it with contentment and certainty, except that Allah makes it the best choice (Al-Khiyarah) for him."
[92] And He, Mighty is His Might, said: "The one who submits (Al-Musallim) to the Truth (Al-Haqq) is the first to reach Him."
[93] It has been narrated regarding one of the former Saints (Al-Awliya’) that he was tested in one of his shirts (Qumsanihi - physical incarnations/bodies) with a poverty that harmed him and took a great toll on his soul. He said [to himself]: "I wish to ask Allah to alleviate this affliction that has beset me." Yet, he did not [actually] ask; the desire merely crossed his heart.
No sooner had these "clouds of desire" passed over him than a knocker struck his door. When he gave him leave and he entered, the visitor mentioned a man known to him and said: "He sends you greetings of peace and says to you: 'Spend this on some of your needs.'"
