When they had left, he turned to me and said: 'We did not disassociate from the Saint of Allah (Wali Allah) for ten thousand dirhams, so Allah provided us with ten thousand dinars.'"
[86] It was narrated in some reports: That Allah, Blessed and Exalted be He, revealed unto David: "O David, give glad tidings to Safra' daughter of Suraqah that she is at your rank in Paradise." So David went [to find her], and there she was among women spinning with their mantles (Buradihinna) 1 . He said: "Which of you is Safra' daughter of Suraqah?" She said: "Here I am." He said: "Indeed, Allah has commanded me to give you glad tidings that you are at my rank in Paradise." She said to him: "May Allah make your tidings good and sustain your wellbeing." Then David said to her: "By what state did you attain this?' She replied: 'Indeed, without [special] deeds.' He said: 'I adjure you by Allah that you must inform me.' She said to him: 'O David, I have never been in any state and asked Allah to move me from it to another, until He Himself was the one to initiate that for me.'"
