brought and confess, so he would establish upon him the legal penalty necessitated by his deed, thus people stopped committing adultery and all other corruption. People would come to him and say: 'Our land has suffered drought, our crops have withered, and our harvest has perished.' He would form clouds for them and move them to where the drought was. His supporters increased, his matter became mighty, and his authority grew great. Then a group of those who disbelieved in him gathered and said: 'This is a great sorcerer; if we leave him to his affair, he will disgrace us and expose us.' They resolved to work toward his destruction. They agreed that on a feast day, they would fall upon him with swords and daggers as one man to kill him, and they pledged themselves to that. When the feast day arrived, the deniers gathered, and once the people had dispersed from him, they fell upon him as one man. As they approached him, he blew a single breath upon them which burned them all, and the fire that burned them became collars of light that wrapped around the necks of the believers. He ordered the call and the gathering of the people. When they gathered, he showed them the places where the group had fallen and said: 'Such is My way with those who have opposed Me and disobeyed My command, and this is My deed with my allies: I collar them with My lights and grant them My Paradise and the Abode of My Honor.'
