While in that state, a white ship arrived. In it was the Person whom my Master had seen in his dream, accompanied by the two knights mentioned in the Third Assembly. When we saw him, we fell prostrate before him. He ordered us to raise our heads. We saw the ship with us on the land, while the water flowed in its state.

The Island of the Monotheists (al-Muwaḥḥidīn)

He said to us: "Stand and board the ship, and say: «...In the name of Allah is its course and its anchorage. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful.»1 "

We stood and said as he said and boarded the ship. It entered through the gate from which the water emerges. It was but a brief moment until we emerged into the Encompassing Sea (al-Baḥr al-Muḥīṭ). Then the ship turned toward the coast adjacent to the north; it was racing like an arrow from the heart of a bow. We were wondering at that Encompassing Sea—its greatness and terror—and the Encompassing Mountain and its height.

Suddenly, we heard a great clamor. we reflected upon it and saw a great multitude hallowing and glorifying (yuhallilūn wa yukabbirūn). The ship drew near to them until we could see them. The ship rose upon the face of the earth and ran just as it ran in the sea until we were alongside the People. At that, we were ordered to descend.

We descended and the People hurried toward us, greeting us with the finest speech. Then the ship returned to the water and ran until it vanished. We were settled in the place, accompanied by the man who had appeared as an astrologer. He took us by our hands and ascended with us to a great mosque in which were many people; they came toward us in throngs, greeting us.
