and overawed, for they were not accustomed to such a thing, nor had they ever heard that a human had emerged from that fissure.

They hurried to the King and informed him of what they saw. He traveled with them until he reached the fissure and saw the ship. He ordered that they address that Person. Some of the King’s retinue addressed him, saying: "Tell us who you are, from where you have come, and what you desire?"

He said to them: "I am the one whose manifestation and arrival you were awaiting. I am the one who has possessed the East and the West; no hinderer can hinder Me from My Will, nor can any rejecter turn Me back."

The King’s minister reported what he heard from him. The King then ordered the sages, scholars, and all the ministers to be brought and said to them: "What do you say regarding what this man has said, he who appeared to us from a place other than the one recorded by our sages?"

One of the sages said to him: "O King, this fissure from which this Person appeared is the one from which water, aloe wood, fresh fruits, jewels, rubies, and pearls emerge for us. From it, 'Evil' emerges to us; yet if you take the fruit and eat it, you find its taste more delicious than every delight and finer than every perfume. Our ancient sages mentioned that behind this mountain is a world that asks Allah for what they desire and He gives it to them, and they wish for what is within them; it is a noble world according to what they mentioned. The place where this Person came from is the same place that used to appear to us from the mountain. I am not one to advise you to abstain from what this Person desires; rather, I see that you should enter under his obedience, return to his command and prohibition, and believe in what he says."

The King said to all present: "Is there among you anyone who shares this man’s opinion and can make known to us what he has concerning this?"
