to them, his face was like the disk of the rising sun, lighting the horizon. Their gaze would not even be complete, nor their verification of his appearance finalized, before he would descend from atop the Encompassing Mountain to the dome. He would order its demolition, turn people away from Sun worship, and point to himself after showing great miracles and momentous signs. He would inform them of what was a thousand years ago and the knowledge of what will be until a thousand years. He would discipline them with manners, arrange his followers into ranks, and organize them into layers.

When their religion was perfected, he would leave behind one to stand in his place after him, ordering them to obey him and warning them against opposing him. When he vanished from them, they would forget what he charged them with and return to what they were upon of Sun worship; they would build the dome and remain thus until eighty manifestations were completed, with a thousand years between each.

Our kings used to show kindness to the kings of the East out of fear of them. In the last of the manifestations, a king sat who was called the King of Kings (Malik al-Mulūk). A man from the sages of peace mediated between our king and him. The opinion was that our king should marry the daughter of the King of Kings. This was concluded between them, on the condition that the kingship would not be given to anyone except the son he would be granted from her. The condition was established between them with covenants and oaths.

The maiden, daughter of the King of Kings, was carried to the King of India. He ordered the astrologers to perform an observation and monitoring for his entry unto her. They did so, and he entered unto her and had intercourse with her at the chosen time, and she conceived from him. He watched for the time of birth until she bore him a boy with obliterated eyes and distorted feet, a source of much exemplary punishment and ruin. The King was struck by intense grief and ordered the execution of the astrologers, remaining in manifest sorrow.
