remain for him to see in his Hereafter and be compensated for them. And the disbeliever sees his good deeds in his world; his livelihood is expanded, his illness decreased, and his death lightened, until he leaves his world having been compensated for his good deeds in it."
It has been related in this meaning from Amir Al-muminin that he said: "Our Shi‘a are compensated for their sins and mistakes in their world day by day, hour by hour, and moment by moment, until one of them dies1 and there is not upon him an atom's weight of sins."
“This report I have mentioned, O King, has a report similar in its meaning:
It is the saying of Amir Al-muminin Exalted Glory: ‘The world is a prize for the believer and a prison for the disbeliever,’ because the latter dwells therein and does not depart from it, being repeated through it in cycles and eras (al-akwār wa al-adwār). Allah, Exalted Glory, said: «And there is none of you except he will come to it. This is upon your Lord a decree determined. Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers within it on their knees. »2
The King asked: ‘And what is the meaning of His saying: And there is none of you except he will come to it?’ My Master said to him: ‘There is no scholar, small or great, ancient or modern, but that he is returned to the Call, the Summon, and the witnessing that Ali the Most High is the Meaning (al-Ma‘nā); this is upon your Lord a decree determined, out of His justice and equity, so that those who perish might perish upon a clear proof, and those who live might live upon a clear proof. Thus, the believer therein is saved and ascends, while the disbeliever remains therein on his knees, never departing from it.’
