He spent the days of his life seeking to meet with her, but could not reach that."

"If I were to go on and mention what has been related from Amir Al-muminin regarding the dispraise of women, the explanation would be long." My father said to him: "Some of what you mentioned is sufficient, and I have chosen to be among your company and travel with you."

The jeweler said to him: "Since you have chosen that, do not leave behind anything belonging to you." So my father sold what he had of perfume equipment, real estate, and other things, while I was then young of age, serving them both. They continued to travel for a period of time, then returned to Kufa after that. The Transfer approached my father. When he despaired of his life, he summoned the jeweler and said to him: "O my master, this is my son. If you see him opposing you in any state, then leave him and do not grieve for him, for he is a 'deed that is not righteous'. But if you see him adhering to your discipline in obedience and not departing from your service, then guide him to that which will save and deliver him, for you have more right to him because of what you know of his matter."

Then he fell silent, gave up his soul, and departed this life at that very hour. The jeweler took charge of his preparation and buried him. He returned, and I was with him. He displayed all his wealth and trade. I remained in his service, coming under his obedience and adhering to his love for a long time.

Among his habits was that when night fell and he knew I was asleep, he would stand for prayer. When he finished his prayer, he would recite “Say: He is Allah, the One” twelve times, and the Verse of the Throne twelve times. Then, after that, he would extend his arms, spread his palms, and say in his supplication: “O Cause of causes, O Establisher of Eternity! O He who is asked and is not asked! To You is the prayer and supplication, and You are the hope and the wish.
