he said: "{Glory be to You! I turn to You in repentance, and I am the first of the believers"'}. 1

It has been narrated regarding this that Moses (peace be upon him) asked the Essential Meaning (Al-Ma’na)—exalted be His majesty—to see Him in His Essential Unitary Form which exists in Primordiality (al-Qidam).

He says: It is narrated from our Master the Messenger (may His might be exalted) that he said: 'Verily, you shall see your Lord on the Day of Resurrection as you see the moon on the night of the full moon; you shall not be wronged [or find difficulty] in seeing Him.'

He says: It is narrated on the authority of Abu al-Sabbah al-Kinani that he said: I heard al-Sadiq (may His might be exalted) saying: 'God manifested to Abraham in His Arabic Veil, and Abraham said: "This is my Lord." But when it set, he said: "I love not those that set." Then He appeared to him in His Khusrawani [Persian/Royal] and Hebrew Veils, and he said: "This is my Lord."
