He [al-Harrani] says: "Verily, He is the One, the Bringer-back of the Eternal Absence—meaning by this the Eternal Image (al-Surah al-Azaliyya). It is the Oneness of the Essence (Ahadiyyat al-Dhat), and the Reality that guides to the Eternal Monotheism."
Pointing to the Luminous Manifester, he says: "The World of Light is more ancient before Allah than humanity. The entire globe of the Earth, and all that scholars have circumscribed and established proofs for, is like a single point in the sky. Every star among the stars is many times greater than the Earth—multiplied and vast. This is something no one disputes, for it is a word of consensus and adherence."
If it were as some people claim—that God manifested to humans alone without having a manifestation in the heavens, and that He moved from the era of Adam to the time of al-Hasan al-Askari (may His might be exalted) and the manifestation of the Proof (al-Hujjah)—this would [effectively] deny Him manifestation, existence, and presence.
[Moving] to his saying: So He spoke through the human form, manifested miracles and divine power, and guided them to the existence of His Names and Attributes.
