Meaning: It is the proof for every proof—that is, the totality of existence—and it is the Universal Goal.

He says: "As for the one who denies the Image at one time and affirms it at another—if he is demanded to establish the evidence and clarify the proof, what would his answer be?"

Regarding his [the opponent's] claim: "It [the Image] had no reality, but was rather a delusion (Takh-yil) in the eyes of the beholders"—Allah says: {That is because Allah is the Truth, and that which they invoke besides Him is falsehood} 1 . Thus, Allah has deemed him a liar in his discourse and exposed him in his ignorance. Allah the Exalted said: {Is there any doubt about Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth?} 2 . And [consider] the saying of the Master, the Mim (م)—Exalted be His Might: "I would not worship a Lord whom I do not see."

He [al-Harrani] says: "Since this Shimmering Light—flowing from the springs of lights, the Originator of substances, and the Bestower of forms—was established, He made the Light into Radiance (Di’a’), and the Radiance into Shadow (Zill); He established within it the Image of Existence, and made Existence sustained by the Light."
