He [Abu Sa’id] says: "Exalted be the Anza’iyya of the Lord, the Image of His Oneness, and the Hyle (Hayoula) of His Power."
He says: "By the 'Strong Ya' (ي) and His appearance in the Visible Anza’i Image."
These are the concluding statements [of Abu Sa’id]—may Allah sanctify his soul and benefit us by his knowledge. Amen.
Discourse of the Trustworthy Sheikh, al-Jali, in his "Anadiyya" Treatise
From the Anadiyya treatise by the trustworthy Sheikh, Abu al-Husayn Muhammad ibn Ali al-Jali, the successor (Wasi) of the Sheikh [al-Khasibi]—peace be upon them both. He says:
"He [the Lord] remained unique in His Exalted Essence, yet He appeared in the Manifest Image as a means of endearment, mercy, subtlety, compassion, and grace—without any vanishing, translocation, or changing from one state to another."
He says: "As for him who says that the Visible Image manifest as al-Anza’ al-Batin, which ascended the pulpits and pointed to its own Essence with Monotheism—claiming that this Eternal, Worshiped One is not the Meaning (al-Ma’na) but is instead the Mim ($م$ [the Name/Muhammad])..."
"We say to him: You have disbelieved, strayed, rejected, and denied! For that Image manifest as al-Anza’ al-Batin is He.
