If he [the opponent] says: "Every image is created; so how can He appear in a created thing when He only appears through His Essence? We and you both say that the Creator is other than the created, the Image is other than the One Imaged, the Example is other than the One Exemplified, the Name is other than the Namer, and the Messenger is other than the One who sent him."

We say to him: "Verily, that Image in which He appears is not created; for had we said it was created, we would have been exactly like the rest of creation in this claim."

Thus, he [al-Khasibi]—peace be upon him—demonstrated that the Visible Image is neither created (Makhluqa) nor produced (Maf’ula).

As for the claim of this "self-appointed leader" (al-Rajul al-Murajjil): "The Image is produced (Maf’ula) by its Meaning," the burden of this statement and the [flawed] evidence he provides lies upon him. The People of Truth (Ahl al-Haqq) have no need for "proofs" that claim the Ancient, Eternal One—the Cause of Causes (Ma’lul al-‘Ilal)—is himself caused (Ma’lul), or that the Producer of all products is himself produced (Maf’ul). Rather, he [the opponent] sets up these "evidences" for his Delegated (Mufawwida) sect and his Short-coming (Muqassira) faction... etc.
