he [the Sheikh] says: This refers to when the Commander of the Faithful (Exalted be His Might) appears at the beginning of the White Return (al-Raj'ah al-Bayda') from the eye of the sun at its rising, in the Image of al-Anza' al-Batin and its attributes, with Dhu al-Fiqar unsheathed in his hand; the visions of all creatures will be fixed upon him.
Then they will ask: "Who is this?"
And it will be said to them—and the one saying it to them is the Master Muhammad: "This is your Lord."
Then they will say the Truth: "This is our Lord, He is the Most High, the Grand."
He [the Sheikh] says: That Image and those manifestations which He made manifest to the observers are He, according to what we have demonstrated in this treatise—that He manifested them to establish Beholding (al-'Iyan), to validate certainty, and to bring [faith] into existence and fixity, so that it neither shifts nor vanishes. Yet, He is not "it" [the image] in the sense of total identity, nor in the sense of a composite union (Jam'), nor in the sense of encompassment or confinement.
Regarding the House of Abu Talib, he [the Sheikh] says: *"This is the Frequented House (al-Bayt al-Ma'mur) and the Uplifted Canopy (al-Saqf al-Marfu')."
