The words of Sheikh Sulayman al-Ahmad, citing from 'The Notification' (al-Tanbih):
And he [the Sheikh] says: 'Indeed, the Inward Inaccessible Unseen, the Essence (al-Dhat) which cannot be limited or described, and the Hidden Treasure: [all of these] are the Form; and She is the Witnessed Reality for the People of Witnessing (Ahl al-Shuhud).'
And he says: 'The Divine Wisdom in creating the creation was for the sake of Visual Knowledge (al-Ma'rifa al-Basira) derived from the Manifest Visual Form; therefore, She is the Hidden Treasure and the Essence.'
And he says: 'Then, in this Notification, he set apart a High Philosophy—one which none present or know except those Rooted in Knowledge (al-Rasikhun fi al-'Ilm)—as a prelude to his saying: "This is what he intended for the Establishment of Existence (Ithbat al-Wujud)", as the Sheikh [al-Khasibi]—peace be upon him—verified: that the Form is the Universal Goal and the Sacred Essence.'
And he says: 'There is no way to know these Stations (al-Maqamat) except through knowing Him; and knowing Him is not valid except through His Essence—which is the Inaccessible Unseen, the Hidden Treasure, and that is the Visual Form.
