And what is intended by the Veil is the Form through which He makes Himself known to His creation—and She is nothing other than the Essence, as you have come to know.'
And he says: 'Now you have recognized, O Monotheist Believer, the meaning of Inwardness and Outwardness, and of Absence and Presence; and [you have known] that the Visual Form is the Universal Goal, the Meaning of Meanings, and the Ultimate End of Ends (Ghayat al-Ghayat).'"
And he [the Sheikh] says: 'Indeed, the Three Luminous Veils—the veil of His Essence by His Light, the veil of His Light by His Radiance (Diya'), and the veil of His Radiance by His Shadow—all are the very Essence of the One who is Veiled (al-Muhtajib). Just as the Visual Anza'i Form is the Veil of the Essence, yet She is nothing other than Her.'
And he says: 'Indeed, Sidi Abu Said [al-Maymun bin Qasim al-Tabarani]—the trustworthy and reliable authority—proves in all his books that the Form is the Essence.'
And he says: 'That Form and those Manifestations which He displayed to the observers are Him—based on what we have demonstrated in this Epistle.'
