[This is in response] to the end of what they emphasized and stressed in their disdain for his [the author's] doctrine and for the Form of Existence, [claiming] that it is perceivable and encompassed, unlike [their] Illusion and Unseen.'"
He says in his commentary on the 'Homsi Fatwa': 'It is as if the Illusory Point (al-Nuqta al-Wahmiyya) according to them is something other than the Visual Form; because the latter [the Form] is perceived, while the former [their illusion] cannot be encompassed by a Name or a Door. Exalted is Allah above what they describe!'
And he says: 'Those who taught us Transcendence (Tanzih) intended by it the Witnessed Form itself; [meaning] that She is beyond what you imagine or what occurs to your mind—for Allah is Higher than that.'
And he says in his discourse with the 'Unique Scholar': 'Indeed, the Unseen (al-Ghayb) and the Hidden Treasure (al-Kanz al-Mukhfi) is this very Form. Whoever claims that the Essence and the Unseen are anything else is like the Shurah [Kharijites] who disavow and curse Him, and the Nawasib who prefer others over Him.'
And he says: 'Had the Visual Form not been the Goal and the Essence, there would be no reward for the one who recognizes Her, nor punishment for the one who denies Her.'
