The Unseen (al-Ghayb) appeared to me from Him at the Ghada [tree/valley], In Contentment, after [being high as] the Pleiades, [now] upon the Soil.

The Unseen (al-Ghayb): is that which is hidden from knowledge and cannot be sought.

And the Form which was proclaimed upon the pulpits: is the Inaccessible Unseen (al-Ghayb al-Mani').

The Ghada (al-Ghada): A location known for its [distinctive] trees.

The Pleiades (al-Thurayya): One of the mansions of the moon.

The Soil (al-Thara): refers to the dust or earth. How subtle is this allusion to the Two Existences [The Celestial/High and the Terrestrial/Low].

I said, 'An Unseen for You,' [yet] all have witnessed, He said, 'A transgressor (Baghin) has witnessed the Unseen within Me.'

He says: 'He said, a transgressor has witnessed the Unseen within Me': Because the term 'Testimony' (al-Shahada) is derived in meaning from 'Observation/Witnessing' (al-Mushahada).

The Almighty said: 'Except for those who bear witness to the truth while they know' 1 . It is impossible for The Truth—Exalted be He—to be 'absent' (ghayba) just as it is impossible for Him to be non-existent.
