He says: 'Represented the Reality for me': That is, the Sacred Essence (al-Dhat al-Muqaddasa).

'In an Image' (Khayal): Meaning, in a Visual Form that points toward it. Just as a person is represented by the shadow emanating from them, so too does the Form manifest the Power (al-Qadr) with which the Sacred Essence is described.

In Him I am, and in Him tomorrow is my [abode], I behold Him, yet for Him, there is no [spatial] location within me.

And he says: This is among the meanings of 'Separation' (al-Farq) and 'Union' (al-Jam') according to their terminology. The Visual Form is the Essence itself through the manifestation of Power.

He says: Thus, the Form is the very Universal Essence. 'Union' (al-Jam') is: 'He is Him' (Hiya Huwa). 'Separation' (al-Farq) is: 'He [the Essence] is not Her [the Form]' (La Huwa Hiya).

He says: This meaning refers to the two forms of Majesty (al-Jalal) and Beauty (al-Jamal), as we previously established.
