When he affirmed in the first verse that the Form and the Attribute are His very Essence by saying: 'From You emerged the outward of the Attributes,' he clarified here and demonstrated His transcendence—the Almighty—above that which the eyes have seen by saying: 'O Unique One, who cannot be encompassed by attributes.' He means: This Form is not You in Your totality. This follows the meaning of our saying: 'She is He' in terms of affirmation and existence, but 'She is not [He]' as a whole or a collection.
From the 'Poem of the Dusk' (Qasidat al-Ghasaq), which is [also] called the 'Creed of Religion' ('Aqidat al-Diyana), he says:
This is 'Ali, the Creator of all beings
His manifestation is through the Visual Form.
His saying 'This is 'Ali... etc.': This is an explicit declaration of the Name alongside the Meaning (Ma'nawiyya) of his Master. It points out to creation that He is manifest among them in a seen form, as an act of Justice ('Adl) toward His creatures; so that He may establish justice on Earth just as He established it for the People of Heaven,
