But if you have remained ignorant of that which exists : 'It is more fitting that you remain ignorant of that which neither exists nor is seen; for every existent thing is known, and every non-existent thing is lost and unknown.'
And he says: 'The Meaning (al-Ma'na)—Majestic and Sublime—is not seen except in the Anza'i Form (al-Surat al-Anza'iyya) throughout the heavens and the earth... [until his saying]: Heaven is not void of Him when He is visually witnessed on Earth, nor is Earth void of Him when He is seen and witnessed in Heaven. Rather, He is the Manifest (al-Zhahir) in [both] heaven and earth.'
And he says: 'His likeness in vision is like that of the sky: do you see it having two colors or two forms? Rather, it is one sky for all who see it—one essence and one form. Likewise is the sea and the water; all of it is one, one color, and one essence. Likewise is the Fire, which is scattered throughout the world and the earth; wherever it may be, it is one fire, one color, one essence, and one form. The Meaning—Exalted be His Might—is higher, more powerful, and more luminous than these attributes.'
And he says: 'The Creator—Exalted be He—manifested through Justice via the Anza'i Form as a mercy and a kindness, so that they might know Him and affirm His existence; and He manifested the Power (al-Qudra).
