and Vast Form (al-Surah al-Dhatiyya al-Anza’iyya al-Batiniyya)—may His might be exalted... and He speaks of when they said: "The Visual, Unveiled, and Vast Form is that of a man of medium height, balding at the front, with a broad forehead, heavy-lidded eyes, thick-set build, and muscular forearms... [up to his saying] broad-shouldered."'
This is the one who spoke from the pulpits and said: 'I have done and I shall do; I illumined its sun, I made its moon shine, I gushed forth its springs, I caused its rivers to flow, and I ripened its fruits. I am the First and the Last, the Inward and the Outward; I am All-Knowing of everything and All-Powerful over everything.' To this, the Angels and the Veils (al-Hujub) bore witness, and the Messengers and the Books pointed. [Yet they claim] that the one who brought all this forth, performed it, and spoke it, was merely a Power (Qudra) from the Creator, and that the Creator is something else besides it.
This [false] belief nullifies everything they hold. For they have negated Existence itself and denied the Worshiped Meaning (al-Ma’na al-Ma’bud)—the Commander of the Faithful—may His might be exalted—the Possessor of the Manifest Power and the dazzling miracles. How then can what they claim for others be established, when their only intent is to oppose the Truth and to bring forth lies against the truth.
