He says: This 'Means' which He bestowed upon me, and which led me to the knowledge of Reality and the unveiling of this secret, is as follows: 'I bore witness to his speech through narration, and it was uttered that the Visual Form is the Ultimate Goal (al-Ghaya al-Kulliyya).'

He says: 'Because He manifests to the creation through the form of the nature of Primordiality (kayfiyyat al-qidam) alone—a form that has no likeness. For the Creator (al-Bari) manifests through His Essence; He does not manifest through a created, originated form.'

He says: 'As for the term "Upon" ('ala): its meaning is the Reality of the Form.'

He says: 'Verily, when the Most High, the Supreme is manifest to His creation, He appears through three veils: He veils His Essence with His Light; He veils His Light with His Radiance (diya’); and He veils His Radiance with His Shadow (zill). These are all lights, not [material] bodies.'"

The Unveiled Form (al-Surah al-Anza’iyya) is the Radiance (al-Diya’). The Shadow (al-Zill) is His Greatest Name, which is an invention from the Light of His Essence—that very Light which serves as the Veil of His Essence.
