From the Supplications of al-Makzun:
Among that which has appeared in his supplications is his statement:
'I bear witness that there is no god but He, the Most High, the Supreme; the Meaning of Meanings (Ma’na al-Ma’ani), the Ultimate of Ultimate Goals. The One appearing from the Valley of His Holiness, manifesting to every species according to its own nature and kind. The Meaning, the One, the Unique, the Eternal, who "begets not, nor is He begotten, and there is none co-equal unto Him." I bear witness that there is no god but He, who is exalted above indwelling (al-hulul) and sanctified above setting (al-uful) [waning]. And I bear witness that there is no god but He—a testimony of sincerity in His Monotheism. And I bear witness that there is no god but He—a testimony of vision (shahadat 'iyan) of the sign of His existence.'"
From the 'Radadiyya Treatise' (al-Risala al-Radadiyya): Authored by Sheikh Yusuf bin al-Ajuz al-Nashani al-Radadi al-Halabi.
He says: He began by mentioning the Light of the House—the firm and lofty mountain, the mine of the primordial root and sublime honor—which was conveyed through the noble, honorable, and sincere 'Means' (al-Asbab) from the garments of humanity (qamus al-bashariyya) to the station of luminosity (tahill al-nuraniyya) and the witnessing of the Essential Form.
