Whoever unlocks this riddle has secured the treasure of Gnosis. He who does not know the "Locations of the Attribute" (Mawaqi' al-Sifa) has not reached the depth of Gnosis.'
For the Sage—may His might be exalted—said: 'Whoever knows the locations of the Attribute has reached the depth of Gnosis.'
He says: Regarding Faith (al-Iman): 'As for the stable [faith], it is the station of the People of Faith in the two worlds, and the belief in the Two Visions (al-Ru’yatayn)... etc.'
He says: 'The repetition of the Takbir (Allahu Akbar) in the call to prayer (Adhan) twice is an allusion to the magnifying of the Meaning beyond what the inhabitants of the two worlds have witnessed. It is a negation of any limit upon what was gazed at in the Two Stations. This is because His manifestation in a Form—due to the observer’s inability to perceive His [absolute] Light—is a Grace from Him, an affirmation of His existence, and an acknowledgment of His Power. For had [the observer] encompassed [Had the observer] encompassed [the Divine Light] in its entirety with the sight: then the sight would necessarily have become a vessel for His Essence—due to the entry of His totality into the limits of the sight. Exalted is God far above what the wrongdoers say!
