leaving the denier in his rejection; for if the Lord is hidden from the eyes of His creation, they’re veiled and by his absence they’re tested. The form in which the Name appears from the radiance of His light is superior to His radiance by which He manifested in person to the creation, to see him; and guided them to their Creator to know Him, for it is the attribute of the Soul, and the Soul is the attribute of the Essence, Name is invented from the soul of the Essence’s light. Therefore, it was named the Soul, for the Exalted’s saying: Allah warns you himself; only warned against making him created and fashioned like originated and fashioned things, because Essence’s light is eternal, neither originated nor fashioned; the Name was formed from that Light. If that light was created, the Essence would be created; that is the explicit disbelief itself.

Know, O Mufaddal, that there is nothing between the One and the Unique just as there is between motion and stillness, and between the Kaph and the Nun, for it is connected to the light of the Essence and the Unique who is Unlimited; for He is the ultimate aim and final end of His seekers.
