So when he guided them to his essence and declared his Mean-ship, they disbelieved, made him one ruled; and his Name stated about him, in Surat Al-Hashr when saying: they thought their fortresses would protect them from Allah. So Allah came to them from where not expected, and none came to them then except your Lord Al-Ayn Amir Almuminin Ali.

O Mufaddal, whoever knew attribute’s locations reached the ground of knowledge; so attribute’s locations are the power which appeared from the outer visible form, and the core of gnosis is the acknowledgment of the Ma’nawiyya.

O Mufaddal, have you not heard indication in the Exalted’s saying: Allah is light of heavens and earth, likeness of his light like niche, in it is a lamp; the lamp is in a glass, the glass is as if it was a pearly star lit from a blessed tree, an olive tree, neither eastern nor western, its oil almost glows, even if no fire touched it; light upon light; Allah guides to his light whom he wills; Allah strikes parables for people; and Allah is all-knowing of everything. And I am interpreter for you this verse, O Mufaddal; it is in your lord’s existence and appearance.
