And the form He manifested, He manifested for His own existence; have you not heard the Exalted saying: So when he came, he was called from shore of the right valley in the blessed spot from the tree; have you not seen the tree whose root is firm in the earth and whose branch is high in heaven. O Mufaddal, when the power appeared with indication from the form, the Essence shows it and establishes it; and because the form is matters’ primal-matter, foundation of movements, eternalizer of eternals, manifestor of miracles and dazzling powers; its outer bound to its inner; as he said: my outer is leadership and guardianship, my inner unseen not perceived. And his saying: they disbelieve in what’s beyond it, and it is truth confirming what they have, for they acknowledge that he is an Imam and that his knowledge is divine. So when told them He is Meaning of meanings and Eternal Lord, they turned and disbelieved; that is Name’s saying in the Revelation: you see them looking at you while they do not see; and they believe in him while they are disbelievers in him; that is they believe in an unseen not seen, and whoever worshipped what is not seen is about to not be anything.
