Every party sees him in its track and contemplates him behind in form which never ceased, never pass away, never changed nor shifted. I said to Hudhayfah: did you see from your Lord’s power in his creation as I saw and looked as I looked? He said: O Brother, hide what you saw; the matter is great and the affair is grave.

Then Amir Almuminin returned to Allah’s Messenger, and Muslims regarding him were split; most agree that he did not cease on the trench’s edge shaking his sword after he killed Amr and chased his companions; and the rest say: we saw him he crossed to them, harvested among their midst and killed Amr, Dha Al-Qafqaf, others and a group of disbelievers; I and Hudhayfah were opposite him. He recited: so, when the trumpet is blown, no lineages between them that day, nor shall they ask of one another. So, the present group said: you spoke truth, O Jabir, thus Allah does with his enemies.
