So I knew he called his lord and sought who answers him at his distress to establish on creation his evidence and proof, showing creation need to his lord. So as if I am beholding him, having slain Amr son of Wudd Al-Amiri, chased his companions and remainder who were with, as he stands, wiping his brow with the edge of his cloak, until we heard the clamor of Muslims, as Ali had crossed the trench. So believers witnessed; I and Hudhayfah when contemplating him before us, saw him and watched; when we looked at indication of Muslims to him in polytheists’ army, saw him striking, killing, chasing, calling. Then returning our sight, see him standing, waving his sword right and left, cutting hands and legs; they were seventeen groups, until the people turned, all parties defeated.
